Setting up your workspace
The short setup you see after signing up - your business, your goal, your tools and anything we should know.
Right after you sign up, your workspace opens on a short setup rather than an empty dashboard. It takes about three minutes, and every step can be skipped and finished later.
1. Your business
While you signed in, we read the website you gave us. You'll see a card with what we found: what you do, who you sell to, how you sound, and your brand colours. If it's right, choose Looks right. If not, choose Edit and change anything - nothing is saved until you confirm.
No website yet, or the read didn't work? Type your website address and choose Read the website, or just write a line for each.
What you confirm becomes your Brand Identity, which every report and AI answer draws on. You can change it any time on the Brand Identity tab.
2. Your main goal
Pick what matters most right now - more leads, a lower cost per customer, more back from ad spend, more new customers, more website visitors or growth on social - then give it a number. The goal runs for three months and shows on the Storyline tab, where you can change it any time.
3. Your tools
We list the tools we found on your website first, marked Found on your site, then the ones most businesses start with. Tick the ones you use and untick the rest.
- Connect Google signs in once for Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Ads. Afterwards, choose which property, site and ad account to read on the Setup tab.
- Connect Facebook does the same for Meta Ads, Pages and Instagram, where available.
- Anything else is added on the Setup tab.
Your ticks only choose what this step offers to connect. We don't record that you use a tool until it's connected.
4. Anything we should know
Drop in a price list, a marketing plan or notes from a meeting. We read it and use it in everything we write for you. You'll find what we took from it on the Brain tab.
Nothing to share yet? Choose Nothing to add and the step is done. You can still add documents later on the Brain tab.
5. Your first view
A preview of what you'll see first, shaped around your goal. Choose Looks good, take me in and a quick three-stop look round shows you Today, where your goal lives, and the Brain.
Coming back to it
Skipped something? A Finish setting up bar on your dashboard shows how many steps are done, names the ones still to do, and takes you back. It disappears once they're all done - including if you do the same things elsewhere, like connecting an account on the Setup tab.
Your free trial runs while you set up. If your trial has already ended, you can still finish setup before choosing a plan.
Your clients don't set up their own workspace - you do it for them when you add them. See Setting up a new client.
The first time a client logs in, they see "Your workspace is ready" with the business profile and goal you set up, and a choice of Looks good or Suggest a change. A suggested change reaches you as a support request. If you marked any tools Ask the client, they then see the steps to grant you access to each one.
