Plans, pricing & billing
Your plan options, what "bring your own key" means, and how to manage your own subscription - plan changes, cancellation, invoices and payment.
Your plan sets two things: how much of the platform you get, and whose AI runs it.
Your plan is managed for you
On an agency-managed account you don't handle plans or payments yourself - your account team sets your tier (Insights vs Insights + Studio), chooses platform AI or your own key, and looks after billing. There's no self-serve billing portal on your account.

The two tiers
- Insights - the full dashboard, attribution, the Brain and reports. Everything you need to understand and report on your marketing.
- Insights + Studio - everything in Insights, plus the full Creator's Studio: Copywriter, Social Calendar, Ad Studio, Web Concierge, Voice Outreach and more.
Platform AI vs your own key (BYO)
Each tier comes in two flavours:
- Platform AI - the platform provides the AI, with a monthly usage allowance on AI-heavy features (reports, copywriting and the like). Simplest option; nothing to manage.
- Bring your own key (BYO) - you supply your own AI provider key and pay your provider directly for AI usage. This lifts the monthly caps on AI-heavy features and is great for heavy users. See Bring your own AI key. A few features that use other paid services still have their own safeguards, and BYO has its own daily spend limit as a safety net.

Starting out: trials & checkout
- Pay first - choose a plan and complete secure checkout; your account activates as soon as payment is confirmed.
- Trial code - if you were given a sign-up code, enter it to start on a time-limited trial instead of paying up front.
This first purchase is the only step that happens outside the app. Once you're active, everything else - changing plan, updating your card, invoices and cancellation - is self-service from your settings.
Before your first payment
Until your first payment lands, the dashboard is replaced by an activation notice - "Choose a plan to activate your workspace" - with the plan cards. Pick one and access unlocks the moment payment completes. You can still reach Settings to update your details.
The paywall also has an "Already sorted? Refresh access" link under the plan cards, for when you've completed checkout but the dashboard hasn't unlocked yet:
- Click "Already sorted? Refresh access". If billing has gone through, it re-checks your live status and reloads you straight into the app.
- If it can't see an active subscription yet, give it a minute and try again - confirmation usually lands in seconds, but it can lag.
- Still stuck? The same action automatically flags it to our team to look into, so reach out through your usual support channel and we'll switch you on.
The usual cause is paying with a different email than the one you signed up with, so the payment couldn't be matched to your workspace - tell us both emails and we'll link them. See "I paid but I'm still locked out" for the full walk-through.
Managing your subscription
Once you're active, everything to do with your live subscription is in one place. Open Settings - Plan and billing and click "Manage plan and billing". That opens the secure billing portal (run by our payment provider, Stripe), where you can switch plans, update your card, download invoices and cancel - all without contacting us.
Changing your plan
In the portal you can move between any of the plans - upgrade from Insights to Insights + Studio, drop back down, or switch between platform AI and a bring-your-own-key plan.
- Changes modify your existing subscription rather than starting a new one, so you're never double-charged.
- The difference is prorated automatically - upgrade mid-cycle and you only pay the balance for the rest of the period; downgrade and the credit is carried over for you.
- An upgrade unlocks the new features straight away.
Just switched to a BYO plan? Add your AI key under Settings - AI key so AI features keep running on your own key, with the monthly caps lifted. See Bring your own AI key.
Invoices & receipts
Your full invoice and payment history is in the same portal - open any invoice and download it as a PDF for your records whenever you need it.
Updating your payment method
Also in the portal: add or replace a card and set which one is used for future payments. Keeping it current is the easiest way to avoid a failed renewal.
Cancelling
You can cancel from the portal too. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep full access until then - you're not cut off mid-month, and there's nothing more to pay. Your data and history are preserved. Changed your mind before the period ends? Undo the cancellation from the same portal.
If a payment fails
If a renewal payment doesn't go through, the workspace is paused so nothing is lost - your data and history are completely safe - and you'll see "There is a problem with your subscription" in place of the dashboard.
To fix it yourself, click "Update payment method". It shows both on the locked screen and in Settings - Plan and billing, and opens the same secure billing portal. Update your card there and access resumes automatically once the payment clears - there's no need to start a new subscription or contact support.
If you've cancelled
A cancelled subscription ends at the close of the billing period you were in, and your data and history are kept. If you later want to reactivate, or you need a copy of a past invoice once access has ended, reach out through your usual support channel and we'll help.
