Data refresh & cadence
How often your data updates, how to refresh on demand, and the cooldown to know about.
Your platform data is refreshed on a cadence and cached in between, which keeps the dashboard fast and your source-API usage sensible. Here's how to control it.
Choosing a cadence
Pick how often data refreshes - typically weekly or daily.
Set your cadence in Settings - Data & refresh. You'll also see when the next scheduled refresh is due. See Your workspace settings.
Set the cadence per client on their management page. Manage many clients on the right rhythm without anyone having to think about it. See Adding & managing clients.
Refreshing on demand
Need the latest right now? Use Refresh now. There's a short cooldown (about an hour) between manual refreshes, so the source APIs aren't hammered - if you've just refreshed, you'll be asked to wait a little.
You'll find Refresh now next to the freshness chip at the top of each platform tab, as well as on the dashboard.
Because you manage your own account, you can refresh your data yourself - the button sits right next to each tab's freshness chip.
On agency-managed accounts, refreshes are handled by your account team and the automatic schedule, so the per-tab chip is read-only for clients. Your own team members still get a Refresh now button (subject to the same hourly cooldown).
How the cache works
- Each period (7 / 30 / 90 days) is stored separately, so switching periods is instant.
- A refresh re-pulls every connected platform and recomputes your metrics.
- If a source can't be reached during a refresh, the rest still update and the issue is flagged rather than wiping your data.
